Line Array
Line arrays are speaker systems are seen typically see at a concert, arena, or large event. They are suspended from the high steel or rigging. The speakers lock together and hang from one another in a long chain or “line”. This helps provide enough power and volume to distribute sound evenly through the entire area of your event. Through this technique we can focus the sound and “tune” the room. To ensure audio clarity in a large room, line arrays are ideal.
Side Fills and Delay Speakers
Side Fills add sound to the sides of the room usually mid way down on the outer aisle ways again allowing for sound engineers to control a comfortable sound level.
Delay speakers are set back into the audience more so that the people in the front aren’t “blasted” out of their seats while the people in the back can’t hear clearly. A delay is put on the speakers deeper in the room so that the sound doesn’t seem out of synch with the presenter, band, or video on stage. Delays are measured in milliseconds and our engineers are highly skilled at making the delay unnoticeable to the audience. We feel that part of our job is to make an event seamless and to seem effortless even though there is a tremendous amount of work, skill, and preparation that goes into every show we do.
